La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Salt Lake City - Layton

I’ve had housing issues and selected this motel because they were dog friendly and didn’t charge a big fee. My housing situation has been stressful. It’ was nice coming in and having a super supportive and friendly front desk staff. Definitely made a stressful situation easier. I’ve ended up staying 3 nights with the possibility of a few more. Clean rooms, yummy breakfast, pet friendly and the cleaning staff does an amazing job. It’s also been quiet during my stays. Very much appreciated!

The hotel is older but kept very clean and tidy. The staff was AMAZING! Thank you Krista for going above and beyond to make my parents feel comfortable and safe.

Pretty nice place for the night. Fair price for what you get. I've been at far worse places that cost far more. The sheets etc do seem fresh and cleaned. Nothing old/run down.

Great place very friendly staff. Very pet friendly. Breakfast was really good. Only bad thing is in nnout burger is to close they take all the parking

The main reason why I'm giving 5 stars is the price. It was only about 45 bucks a night which was the cheapest in the area. Despite the price, they give free breakfast every morning which was an open buffet with a larger selection than expected (some of the eggs were green though). On top of a pool, small gym, and functioning plumbing we were pretty happy with what we paid for. It is what you pay for though, although our room was clean at a first glance (we didn't thoroughly investigate) the hallways and common areas were pretty dirty. The staff was very nice though and we were happy with our stay.

The hotel itself was a little sketch and the rooms were okay. Aside from that, the front desk receptionist Tammy had such phenomenal customer service as she was happy to be of service and get us into our room. She also did a great job making us feel like we weren’t bothering her whenever we needed something.

Thank you La Quinta for a fantastic stay. The room was clean, beds comfortable, and the A/C innundated that room with the coldest of air. Of particular note should be the exceptional level of service we received. The birthday girl at the front desk had a positive and friendly attitude that changed my frustration from a long day of driving to a relaxed deneanor and a contagious smile. The staff was also more that accommodating my companion animal. These folks made my dog feel as welcome and important as any other guest, something that to me is paramount to any other amenity.the ice machine was broken, so going from the third floor to the lobby for Ice was the only part of my stay I could mention as a negative; although this endeavor proved to still be a positive because the infectious attitude of the staff made going to the lobby a wecome social interaction with guests who seemed to just be enjoying the atmosphere. My stay at this La Quinta was a much needed respite after a very long and hot day of angry driving. I very much appreciate the hospitality provided and I cannot stress enough how the staff, especially the birthday girl, made my entire road trip a more enjoyable experience. Looking forward to a stay whenever I'm driving though; in fact, I'm likely to alter my itinerary in the future if my route takes me anywhere near the Wasatch front. Thanks again.

The building is obviously older. It was clean and spacious. The pool area was a little yucky looking, and hot tub was out of order. Breakfast was good, a decent amount of variety. The halls were VERY hot and the cart for transporting luggage was horrible. Just carry your items!
